Our organization received the prestigious National Award for empowerment of persons with disabilities for the year 2007. These awards are given by the central government, to the persons & individuals who have done outstanding work in the field.The awards were presented at the hands of President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil.

One of our own students who is now employed in our workshop also received the award for the most efficient employee. The awards were presented at the hands of President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil on the international day for the disabled December 3, 2007. It was a proud moment for us & every person attached to Aavishkar, Ratnagiri.

Late L.G.Gadre Educational Award Aavishkar was selected to receive this state level award for the year 2008 given by "Maharashtra SevaSangh", Mulund, Mumbai. The organisation is 80 years old and selects the awardee by personally visiting the place. The award was received at the hands of well-known Child Psychiatrist Dr.Manoj Bhatawadekar on 28th Sept 2008.

Our students from School and workshop have bagged many prizes in Sports, Crafts, Painting, Drama etc. in regional, state level and national level competitions. Our student Shivadas Pilankar went to Canada as a member of the Indian Team, which participated in the Special Olympics 1997, while another student Sumayya Patel went to China to participate in the Special Olympics 2007.
